Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Hi everyone! I am so sorry it has been so long. I started classes at the end of August which has made it so difficult to keep up with everyone. Also changed jobs at ACI which I have yet to determine whether it was a smart move or not. I think I am busier than ever now. Life seems to be just going by so fast. Addy is doing well. She is learning to roll over and had a great deal of practice this past weekend at Pap pap and Grammie Covato's. Addy did have another ear infection this past weekend and is back on antibiotics. It is just heartbreaking when she gets an ear infection and it is very obvious because she normally does not fuss too much. She is still sleeping through the night. We think she may be teething lately, she has been drooling, chewing on her fingers & toes, and a little more fussy than normal. She just loves chewing on her toes and is adorable when she does it. As I sit here and type she is laying beside me snoozing on the bed and just looks like a little angel. Hope everyone enjoys the pics I have added.
I will try to ad some Halloween pics on Halloween weekend. Addy is going to be a bumblebee for Halloween. I can't to take some pics to post...her costume is adorable.

I will try to keep everyone updated as often as I can but I sometimes get a little busy between work and school. Every free moment I have is reserved for my Addypie!!

Dog Days of Summer at Sandcastle

The weekend started out with Pap Pap and Nana Covato coming down to spend the day with Addison on Friday. They had hung out at the house with Addy rather than Addy attending daycare. Addison had alot of fun playing with Pap Pap and Nana and slept really well after they had left. On Saturday Matt, Addy and I took Deke to the Dog Days of Summer at Sandcastle. This event is sponsored by the Humane Society. For the past couple of years on the last weekend before they drain the pools at Sandcastle they invite dogs and their owners for some fun. All the dogs get to enjoy running around and swimming at the wavepool & the kiddie pool (for the smaller dogs) as well as getting served chicken flavored snowcones. Matt and I were initially worried about how Deke would interact around so many other dogs that were not going to be leashes. Deke did great though and had a ton of fun swimming. Deke was not even interested in the other dogs around him though he would often try to steal the toys their owners threw in the water. Addy had a great time too. She was very alert and was just having a good time watching all the dogs. Addy has been very interested in Deke lately when at home as well. Addy actually slept really well when we finally got home. She is doing really well and her ear infections appears to be cleared up. She continues to eat cereal once a day and we might even start her on carrots next Friday depending on how she does the rest of the week.

Labor Day Weekend.

Well, there have been a couple things going on with Addison. Addison had her 4 month checkup last Thursday, she weighs 14 lbs 1oz and was measured at 23.5 inches. Addy's pediatrician did say that he did feel that her length may have been an inaccurate measurement and that she is probably 24 inches minimum. Addy tried some cereal for the first time on Friday morning. She was not overly interested and I think more of it ended up on the burp cloth than in her mouth. I guess we will just keep trying!

This weekend was pretty uneventful for us. On Sunday we went to church then we went to Aunt Gail and Uncle Norb's. AuntGail and Uncle Norb had a great cookout with a ton of delicious food. Addy had a great day the picnic but she was so tired by the time we came home. It has been nice having a long weekend to relax a little bit.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Love,

Nicki, Matt, Addy & Deke :-)

Weekend in Pyme

Well, Addy got to visit with grandma and grandpa Fenlock this weekend at Pyme. Was not a very busy weekend, actually did not do much of anything. We had traveled up to Pyme this weekend to house sit for Matt's parents while they went camping. It was nice relaxing weekend. Addy also got to see her Aunt Daneen, Uncle Luc, and Nicolette (sorry if I misspelled that). Deke got to go swimming at the lake which naturally made him very happy since he does not get nearly as much attention these days. We left Pyme at about 6pm and by 6:30 Addy was asleep and is sleeping through the night. She did not even flinch when I took her from her carseat to her pack n play. The picture posted is actually from when we got home this evening.
Addy also turns 4 months tomorrow. I can't believe she is already 4months old. Addy is also growing more and more every day. Addy does have a doctor's appt later this week so I will post later in the week to let everyone know her length, weight, etc.

Have a good week everyone!!

Wednesday at Nana's

Well, I finally talked Matt into going rafting with some friends. I don't have any pictures yet to post however I will post them as soon as I get them. We went rafting on Wednesday Oct 20th and it was an awesome day on the Lower Yough. The tempeture was perfect and the water felt refreshing when you did get wet. We had alot of fun and I had my first out of boat experience on the water. Looking forward to trying the either the New River or the Gauley either this fall or next fall. Also rafted the Upper Yough at the beginning of the summer which is a totally different experience from the Lower Yough.

Addison stayed home with Grandma Covato while we went rafting. Prior to leaving to go rafting my mother gave Addison a big pink ball which she just loved. I tried my best to get some pictures of her playing with the ball to post. Grandma Covato and Addison had a great day and even went to the mall together. Addison is starting to hold herself up very well when on her belly. She does get a little frustrated after awhile because she wants to be able to move and can't . We try to place her on her belly for a little bit every evening though it is hard because she falls asleep so early for the entire night.
I must also tell you that since Deke is so neglected now, I registered him for doggy day at Sandcastle. Yes....the dogs all get to swim on this one day at Sandcastle. People are only allowed into the water up to their knees. They are even going to have chicken flavored snow cones for the dogs along with game, raffles, etc. This event takes place on Sept 6 and costs $20.oo per dog (people are free). You do have to register your dog first so if anyone is interested let me know and I will pass along the phone number.

Well I am sure I will have more pics after this weekend .
Have a good weekend everyone!!

Hectic Weekend.

Well, this was a hectic weekend. On Friday some of our friends came over to hang out and play with Addison. This was the first time we have had any friends over for a get together since we had Addy...then again I think it is the first time ever. It went well and it was really nice to see everyone. Addison was a bit tired by the time everyone had got here because she got very little sleep during the day. Friday was also a bit of a long day for Addy. She was refusing to eat all day and Matt ended up taking her to the pediatrician when he arrived home from work. The pediatrician concluded that her loss of appetite was probably due to the acid reflux which she is already taking medication for. On Saturday we were also supposed to be in town early for my friend Jenn's shower but was unable to make it due to being late getting into Uniontown. We did however make it to the Hutchison picnic with my parents, sister and Addy's cousin Bailey. It was a long day!!!! Saturday was a huge day for our niece though. Bailey had pee'd on the potty for the first time at Pap Pap and Nona's house. I would post the pics but am fearful that I would get reported these days. We were all so proud of Bailey.
As for Sunday, Matt worked his butt off in the garden, yard, etc. Nothing exciting on Sunday.

Hi everyone! Sorry I have not posted anything in awhile. Things have been pretty hectic here. Addy is doing well in daycare though she had a few rough days this week. Addy is still home with me a couple days a week however will be at daycare more often once I begin classes. Addy still sleeps great through the night and usually falls asleep around 7pm. Addy is starting to explore her toys that hang from her carseat alot more. She will often pull them towards her mouth. Addy has figured out how to pull or binky out of her mouth however gets very frustrated when she can't figure out how to put it back. She just loves to sit up like a big girl and is already very interested in the Noggin channel. Matt and I are doing well. We will be heading to Uniontown this Saturday at which time we will be going to Hutchison's summer picnic after I go to a friends baby shower. I will try to add some more pics after this weekend as well as at least one new post every week.

Sunday, July 27, 2008

Well, we had a pretty uneventful weekend. Did not do much of anything on Friday and just worked around the house on Saturday for a majority of the day. Pap Pap and Grandma Covato came down to visit Addy on Saturday. I did want to post a picture of Addy which was taken before church. Addy was wearing an adorable little dress that her Aunt Lisa had bought for her...thank you Aunt Lisa!

Friday

Well, Addy stayed home with me today since I did not have to be in the office. It has been quite nice being able to keep her home with me a couple days since beginning daycare. Our days together are mostly spent playing, watching cartoons, and going shopping. Addy has been becoming more aware of her surroundings over the past couple of weeks. She is often laughing, smiling, and cooing. Recently she began to notice the bright lights in the center of her swing. Now every time she is placed in her swing she starts by looking to see if the lights are on, it is always adorable. I think even Addy is happy that it is Friday so that even she can sleep in tomorrow morning. Addy really struggles with waking up at 6am to go to daycare on the days that she does go. Usually I can change her diaper and put her clothes on while she fights to not wake up.
I think I have e-mailed most family members the address for this site but if I forgot anyone then please pass the address on to them. I am sure there are some family members whose addresses I may not know.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Could not forget to add a picture of our other family member, Deke. Deke does great with Addison and often checks on her when she is in her crib, pack n' play, or co sleeper. I think he was pouting in the top picture because Addison has been stealing a great deal of everyone's attention. Deke is a little used to being the "baby" in the family. He is however still spoiled with steak and eggs when he stays at his grandma and grandpa Covato's.

Sears Pics

July 24, 2008
For those of you who have not seen the pics from Sears, I did get Addison' s 3 month pics done at Sears though this was a couple of weeks before she actually turned 3 months. These pictures took about 5 hours and two trips to Sears. Addy did not want to do much of anything but sleep so it was difficult to get her to stay awake long enough to smile. Addison is 3 months as of today and is doing great. Addison did very well at her first week of daycareon Monday, Wednesday & Thursday. Luckily my schedule allows for me to keep her home a couple days right now since I don't have a full caseload.

Addison was recently baptized at St. Albert the Great. Addison's Aunt Lisa and Uncle Luc were the godparents.

Getting Started!

Hi everyone! Recently one of my friends introduced me to this idea of blogging when her mom provided me with the blog which she began in order to keep her friends and family updated on her pregnancy. Well, of course I thought this would be a wonderful idea to keep our own friends and family updated on how our little angel is progressing. Hope that everyone enjoys our photos and updates. Little Addison is doing well. Addison attended her first day at daycare on July 21st and I sobbed the whole way to daycare and the whole ride to work. I had to talk myself into not picking her up before 4 pm even though I was done a little earlier. Since I do schedule my own appts and will not be busy for the first couple of weeks Addison will only be attending daycare about 3 days a week. Addison's first day at daycare went very well and I think I had a harder time with it than she did. Addison did get to stay home with me today and she went to the office with me today for the short time which I did have to meet with my supervisor. Again...had a very good day!
